MSC-GSCM Programme Orientation cum Cocktail Reception for New Students 2022
The MSC-GSCM Programme Orientation cum Cocktail Reception was held at the Alva Hotel By Royal on 3 September 2022 (Sat), to welcome all new students for the 2022-23 academic year.
To kick-start, Dr Yue Wang, Programme Director of MSC-GSCM Programme, warmly welcomed the new students to participate. Followed by Professor Wai-sum Chan, Dean of School of Decision Sciences, delivered a welcome speech and gave an overview of the School. The Department Head of Supply Chain and Information Management, Dr Stephen Ng also shared the uniqueness of the Programme and encouraged students to explore more by participating in different professional development activities. After that, Dr Yue Wang introduced the programme academic staff and programme advisors to the new students.
After the warm welcome, Dr Yue Wang led nearly 60 participants, including freshmen, academic faculty and programme advisors, to join the toasting ceremony and celebrate this important moment together.
Afterwards, Dr Eugene Wong and Dr Danny Ho, MSC-GSCM Programme Associate Directors, introduced the study plan, programme curriculum, study information and so on. Through this briefing session, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the programme.
The orientation also provided a golden opportunity for new students to connect each other through the ice breaking game. Everyone enthusiastically communicated with each other and enjoyed the time. The pleasant and wonderful day was filled with laughter, picture taking and loads of catching up.
