SCM Internship Series: Career Readiness through Seminars and Workshops
HSUHK BBA-SCM programme continuously promotes practical-oriented teaching, focusing on students’ practice and application. The program actively assists students in acquiring industry information and accumulating internship experience. Year 3 students are required to complete an off-campus internship course and submit an internship review, with instructors providing one-on-one feedback to help students equip themselves well and enhance their workplace adaptability.
To deepen students’ employment readiness, the department also organizes various career-related activities, including but not limited to inviting different companies for career talks and collaborating to hold career workshops.
In February, the department held an Internship Seminar, where Mr Harry Lee (the course instructor, Associate Programme Director (Business Logistics) of BBA-SCM Programme), explained the details of the internship program, introduced resources to assist students in their internship preparation, and covered important points to note during the internship. Over 120 students participated in this session.
In March, the department also invited the Career Planning and Development (CPD) Section of SAO to conduct a CV writing workshop and interview skills workshop. The speakers shared various techniques for optimizing resumes and applied skills for interviews, demonstrating how AI tools can effectively assist students in preparing themselves in advance. The interactive segments of the workshops further supported students in their pre-employment preparation, helping them seize every opportunity in the job market.
