Exploring Innovation in Logistics: A Company Visit to Empower SCM Ltd.
On 13 November 2025, MSc in Global Supply Chain Management students visited Empower SCM Ltd. in Hong Kong as part of the programme’s Professional Development Activity. Led by Dr Danny Ho and Dr YM Wong, the group toured two advanced logistics centres.
Mr Ben Au, General Manager, explained how digital transformation enhances warehouse efficiency and cross-border coordination through automation, real-time tracking, and data analytics. Students observed the use of autonomous mobile robots in e-commerce order processing and gained hands-on experience with smart systems and order-picking technologies. The visit provided both technical and managerial insights into how a leading logistics company responds to a rapidly evolving global environment and reflected the programme’s commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement.
