Menzies CNAC (formerly known as Jardine Aviation Services)

I intern at Menzies CNAC as part of the Passenger Services team, which I gain hands-on exposure to airport management, safety precautions, and aircraft handling procedures. I meet and assist diverse passengers from various airlines. This involves managing tight connections for travelers in transit to ensure they reach their next flights without unnecessary delays. I also carefully handle special needs passengers to ensure their safety and comfort, providing support throughout their journeys. Through my experience, I learned the importance of collaboration and effective communication among teams to manage passengers with short layovers. Working closely with different staff members, we quickly coordinated to prioritize connecting passengers during delays. This experience highlighted how teamwork and communication are essential in the aviation industry, preparing me for future roles.

DHL Express

I really enjoyed my experience as Summer Intern in Ground Operations Department of DHL Express, which offers me the opportunity to rotate across various teams, including Inbound, Admin, Courier, Quality Control, and more. Having the chance to work with all the teams allowed me to gain knowledge about the procedures and job responsibilities of each team. I realized that even though every team has different duties and systems to monitor, their ultimate goal is the same: to streamline operations across different processes. Every single contribution counts toward achieving better performance for the company.

Asia Airfreight Terminal

My time at Asia Airfreight Terminal has been an invaluable learning experience. I provided guided tours and shared information about the terminal's operations during the site visits. This experience enhanced my communication and presentation skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the air freight industry.

The practical knowledge and skills I gained complemented theoretical knowledge I learned in class. I witnessed the complexities and intricacies of air cargo operations, including cargo handling procedures and customs regulations. This internship has allowed me to bridge the gap between theory and practice, applying my classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. I believe this internship has well-positioned me for my future career and I am excited to apply what I have learned in my future endeavors.
