Hang Seng Management College’s Department of Supply Chain and Information Management and the Centre for Corporate Sustainability and Innovations (CCSI) will co-organise a new series of seminars entitled “Learning more on Entrepreneurial Spirit” starting from February to April 2016.   This series is fully supported by HSMC’s Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), US.  We welcome colleagues, students and the public to participate in this innovative and collaborative learning opportunity.Through this series of seminars, students will be able to equip themselves with a general understanding of the nature and importance of the concept of entrepreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship, acquire hands-on experience by developing a simulated business plan, and engage in the discussion of specific contemporary issues in entrepreneurship.

Students are also encouraged to join the “Next Step Challenge 2016” organised by Startup Business Services Limited, Junior Chamber International Hong Kong and Angel Investment Foundation, together with the support provided by The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM).  This competition is open to young entrepreneurs with ideas and business proposals to start up their own business, and is eligible to participate in the Angel Investment Foundation competition.  The winners (five teams) have the chance to receive an angel investment not less than $1 million Hong Kong dollars.  In addition, the HSMC Innovation Project Competition 2016, organised by the CTL, will be open for students to participate.

Apart from the above, this seminar series provides an opportunity to coordinate with the HSMC module “Entrepreneurship” (SCM4102) offered by the SCM Department.   “Learning more on Entrepreneurial Spirit” seminar series aims to promote the importance of entrepreneurial spirit and encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration across industry, the educational sector and young generations in the spirit of sustainable development.  We are honored to have guests from related industry as speakers of this seminar.
