Career Talk – Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Hong Kong Branch
In April 2025, HSUHK BBA- Supply Chain Management Programme invited Mr James Chan, a representative from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Suppl (CIPS) Hong Kong Branch, to deliver a seminar titled “Unlocking Opportunities in Procurement: Insights, Careers, and Professional Growth” for around 40 BBA-SCM students.
The seminar provided students with an in-depth understanding of the procurement industry and professional knowledge. James introduced various essential skills and expertise required in procurement careers, allowing students interested in the field to gain valuable insights through the speaker’s sharing and discussions. This helped students enhance their career readiness, better equip themselves, and choose a suitable career path before entering the workforce.
In the BBA in Supply Chain Management program at HSUHK, students learn about procurement and supply management, negotiation skills, as well as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability—equipping them with the knowledge to explore different areas of supply chain management and prepare for future professional development.
