Congratulations to MSc-GSCM Students for their Remarkable Achievement in the Cathay Hackathon 2024
Five MSc-GSCM students—FAN Junye, HAN Mingrui, HUANG Ruihao, PAN Chenhui, and ZHENG Yiyin—formed a team to participate in the Cathay Hackathon 2024, with encouragement and support from the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme (MSc-GSCM), The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK). This event attracted over 1,500 students and young talents from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and overseas.
With advice and guidance from Dr Danny Ho, Dr Icy Ni, and Dr Jack Wu, our team successfully completed the ‘Initial Submission’ round. Following a rigorous selection process, only 74 teams, involving a total of 300 students, were shortlisted to participate in a 24-hour online ‘Development Day’ from 6 to 7 November 2024. Our team was one of them, tasked with ideating, developing, and pitching innovative solutions designed to elevate Cathay’s premium lifestyle services. Our team was invited to present their work in person in Shenzhen to a panel of industry experts on 10 November 2024. They successfully completed the ‘First Pitch’ round and received a certificate of participation.
After receiving the certificate, they took a photo with Dr Ho and Dr Ni as a memento and expressed their gratitude for the teachers’ advice and support from the MSc-GSCM Programme.
Congratulations to the team for their remarkable achievement in the Cathay Hackathon 2024!
