Hactl – Terminal Visit and Elite Management Trainee Programme Sharing

A visit to Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) was held on 20 March 2025 (Thursday), with 36 students from the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management Programme (MSc-GSCM) and BBA in Supply Chain Management (BBA-SCM) attended the visit. Hactl is the largest independent air cargo handler at Hong Kong International Airport – the world’s no. 1 air cargo hub.
Hactl has various air cargo terminal facilities adopted with innovative technology, including its self-developed air cargo data management system COSAC-Plus, which supports the core operations of the cargo terminal. This system closely connects freight forwarders, airlines, and relevant government departments, allowing them to monitor the status of cargo in real time and ensuring smooth data transmission. During the visit, students learn more about the operations of air cargo terminal operations and understand the importance of air logistics in the global supply chain, as well as how to efficiently handle and transport goods.
Besides the visit, Hactl representatives have also introduced their “Elite Management Trainee Program,” which aims to cultivate future leaders in the air cargo industry. The representatives have provided detailed explanations of the programme content, including the job roles and requirements for different positions, helping students to develop a clearer plan and direction for their future careers.
