The Department of Supply Chain and Information Management emphasises high-quality teaching and learning experience. Apart from the regular teaching and learning activities that you could imagine, our Department provides our students with the opportunities to obtain knowledge and skills that the job market highly values. While aiming for the highest standards of teaching quality, we seek to make our work practical and relevant to the real-life business settings. Our programmes draw on the insights derived from timely research that is also applied to practical concerns in the industries. Over 90% of our BBA-SCM and BMSIM graduates secured a full-time job offer within six months upon graduation.

The four pillar industries have been a driving force of Hong Kong’s economic growth for years.

According to the government’s “Manpower Projection 2018 report, it is expected that the total number of manpower requirement in trading and logistics services industry sector are projected to increase by over 20,000 from 2010 to 2018. The findings offer useful reference on the great demand of labour in IT-related services sector.

There is a lack of over 2,000 people each year for middle management positions. If youngsters wish to join the logistics industry, Logistics Coordinator could be considered for an entry-level position. After gaining relevant working experience, the logistic coordinator could be promoted to the director and other management positions.
