Three BBA (Honours) in Supply Chain Management Year 4 students were awarded in the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Best Student Awards 2017. At the CIPS Best Student Awards presentation ceremony held on 18 Nov 2017, Ms Tam Wing Yan, Cynthia received a Certificate of Credit; Ms Yip Wing Sze, Jasmine and Mr Chang Yau Shing, Sunny received the Certificate of Appreciation.

This is the fifteenth year that CIPS implements the “Best Student Award Scheme” in Hong Kong. The awards are given to full-time post-secondary students who are studying sub-degree or degree courses with purchasing and supply chain management as major core competence.

Same as the previous year, the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management nominated three SCM Year 4 students to the award-selection panel. Nominees were required to submit their resumes and to write an essay about “How technology is transforming procurement”. They were also required to attend a panel interview through which the assessment panel members discussed with them various aspects of the procurement and supply chain profession.
