Department of Supply Chain and Information Management - Experiential Learning Series AY2018/19
Our department organised a series of
experiential learning activities in Oct and Nov 2018. This series has attracted
attention from more than 120 secondary school students.
During the activities, our academic staff introduced
the BMSIM and BBA-SCM Programme under our department and their career prospects.
With the facilitation by our academic team and demonstrators, these students have
grasped a better understanding of the complexity of supply chain and
information management. Some of them took part in our aptitude test. The
results of this test allow them to assess whether they are suitable for being a
business analyst, project managers, etc. Other students participated in our
price war game and/or negotiation game, which are app-based games that were
designed to teach participants the key to successful negotiation and better
decision making. All of these shape
their experience in the price formulation in a highly competitive business
context.
