The SCM Mentorship Scheme aims to provide BBA-SCM and BMSIM students the opportunity to receive career and professional development advice and guidance from mentors who are seasoned alumni, industry professionals, and experts.

The first mentor-mentee meeting of SCM Mentorship Scheme 2021/22 was held on 8 January 2022. In the meeting, all mentees deepened their understanding of the Scheme and met their mentors for the first time.

The meeting was kicked start with a welcome speech by Dr. Danny Ho. Dr. Cathy Lam then invited the mentors to briefly introduce themselves to all mentees. After that, Mr. Timothy Chau led an ice-breaking game that warmed up conversation and collaboration among participants. Next, three students shared what they had gained from participating in the Scheme last year and suggested useful tips for building a good mentor-mentee relationship.

After the sharing, Dr Danny Ho presented souvenirs to all mentors to express gratitude for the mentors’ support to the Scheme. In the following group discussion session, all mentees showed strong interest in knowing more about their mentors and workplace knowledge. In the end, mentors and mentees exchanged their contacts and arrange the next meetings.
