SCM Mentorship Scheme 2022/23

The first kick-off meeting of the SCM Mentorship Scheme was successfully held on 14 January 2023. We were delighted to welcome mentors who are experienced professionals and SCM alumni, as well as mentees to embark on the year’s mentorship journey.

The meeting was kick-started by Dr Danny Ho with a warm welcome to our mentors and mentees. Dr Ho expressed gratitude to mentors for their generous support to the SCM Department over the years and hoped all mentees this year could get the most out of the scheme. Mr Timothy Chau then invited mentors to briefly introduce themselves to all mentees. An ice-breaking game followed to warm up among participants. After the warmup game, Mr Leo Lo, Co-founder and Director of TecRetail Ltd., who participated in the Mentorship Scheme as mentor for years shared his experience of maintaining strong bounding with his mentees.

After the sharing, Dr Danny Ho presented souvenirs to all mentors to express gratitude for their support to the SCM Department. The event concluded with a mentor-mentee discussion session, all mentees showed strong interest in knowing more about their mentors and workplace knowledge.

Mentoring is valuable in empowering students by sharing of mentors’ knowledge and experience, encouragement, and inspiration. We hope students have a fruitful and wonderful mentorship journey.
