Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College Students and Faculty Visit HSUHK for the “SCM Summer Academy”
On 29 June 2026, the MSc in Digital Innovation and Technology Management (MSc-DITM) and the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management (MSc-GSCM), at the invitation of the Yan Oi Tong YES Training Institute, hosted the “SCM Summer Academy” and welcomed a delegation of 23 faculty members and students from the School of Management of Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College, together with two representatives from the Yan Oi Tong YES Training Institute. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for academic exchange, cultural interaction, and the strengthening of ties among the participating institutions.
The Summer Academy featured a diverse range of activities. Participants visited the Virtual Reality and Big Data Analytics Laboratory and experienced three immersive VR scenarios focusing on air cargo management, the digital restoration of Haw Par Mansion, and traditional Chinese medicine applications. Through these hands-on experiences, participants gained first-hand exposure to the practical application of innovative technologies across different professional fields. In addition, participants joined a guided campus tour, which offered insights into HSUHK’s learning environment, teaching facilities, and vibrant campus culture.
During the visit, representatives from the Department introduced the MSc-DITM and MSc-GSCM programmes, highlighting their distinctive features, curriculum design, and further study opportunities. The session enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of the relevant disciplines and explore potential pathways for future academic development.
The Summer Academy not only enhanced participants’ understanding of the role of innovative technologies in supply chain management and digital transformation but also broadened their professional perspectives. Through the immersive learning experience, participants gained a closer appreciation of HSUHK’s academic atmosphere and campus life. The event was well received, with participants expressing strong interest in the programmes, educational philosophy, and campus environment.
