GSCM Leadership Talk #13 – Leading through Globalisation
“GSCM Leadership Talk #13 – Leading through Globalisation: Innovating Through Change: Challenges and Trends in International Cargo Express Services” organized by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme (MSc-GSCM), The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), co-organized by Supply Chain Excellence and Innovation Centre (SEIC), and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE) – Logistics and Transport Division, was held on 31 March 2026 (Tuesday) at the Tsimshatsui Kaifong Association Academic Hall, HSUHK Campus.
Mr. Calvin Mui, former Regional Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region of FedEx Corporation, was invited as the guest speaker to share valuable insights on the key challenges and emerging trends in international cargo express services.
Following Mr. Mui’s sharing, a theme discussion session was moderated by Dr Eugene WONG, Associate Professor of HSUHK and Mr. Alan Lo, Lecturer of HSUHK. During the discussion, Mr. Mui shared his insight on serval topics, including international express services under an uncertain trading landscape, the role of technology and robotics in express logistics, as well as environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and Scope 3 emissions in express services.
The seminar attracted over 80 students and industry practitioners to participate. Participants actively engaged in the Q&A session and gained a lot from this valuable sharing in the Global Supply Chain Management Leadership Talk.
