MSc-DITM Guest Lecture on Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Medicine

The Master of Science in Digital Innovation and Technology Management (MSc-DITM) programme organised a guest lecture entitled “Are We Approaching the Singularity? New Paradigms, Opportunities, and Risks—Wading Through the Uncharted Waters of Intelligent Medicine” on 22 April 2026.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Peikai Chen, Associate Researcher and Executive Director of the AI Laboratory at The University of Hong Kong–Shenzhen Hospital. Drawing on his extensive research experience in biomedical engineering and intelligent medical technologies, Dr. Chen shared insights into the rapid development of artificial intelligence in medicine and its increasing influence on research and clinical practice. He also shared insights into OpenClaw and discussed the opportunities and risks brought by advanced AI systems in healthcare.

The lecture was well received by students of the MSc-DITM programme. Students were highly engaged throughout the session and interacted very effectively with the speaker, demonstrating strong interest in the topic through active discussion and exchange of views.
