SCM Postgraduate Programme Orientation and Cocktail Reception for New Students 2026

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Management hosted its Postgraduate Orientation and Cocktail Reception on 29 August 2026 (Saturday) at the Royal Pacific Hotel. The event welcomed nearly 80 new students from our two taught postgraduate programmes: the MSc in Digital Innovation and Technology Management (MSc-DITM) and the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management (MSc-GSCM).

Dr Stephen Ng, Head of the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, delivered an encouraging welcome address to officially kick off the event. He extended a warm welcome to the new students and led a toasting ceremony with students, faculty members, and programme advisors.

During the orientation, students received comprehensive briefings on the study plan, programme curriculum, academic regulations, graduation requirements, campus facilities, scholarship opportunities, and professional association memberships. The session aimed to provide students with a clear understanding of their academic journey and the resources available to support their studies. In addition, Mr Jaylen HUANG, a graduate of the MSc-GSCM Class of 2026, and Mr WANG Hao, a graduate of the MSc-DITM Class of 2026, shared their experiences of studying at HSUHK and engaging in campus life, offering valuable insights and inspiration to the incoming cohort.

The orientation also provided an excellent opportunity for students to connect with one another through self-introductions and ice-breaking activities. Participants engaged enthusiastically throughout the programme, making the event a memorable and enjoyable start to the new academic year.
