Programme Introduction

The BSc-BAIM programme integrates “Business Analytics”, “Decision Science”, “IT and AI+ applications”, enriched by emerging areas such as FinTech, Business Intelligence, Data Mining, IT Audit and Control and Digital Business Management. Aligned with Hong Kong’s development in the digital economy and talent upskilling, the programme equips students’ to apply data, AI+ tools and information systems to solve real-world business and operational problems. Graduates will be able to translate business needs into quantitative insights and deliver innovative, practical solutions across sectors such as business consulting, systems analysis, banking, finance and digital transformation. This programme aims to recruit students with strong analytical ability, quantitative skills, coding interests, and communication skills, and those who want to pursue a career in the Business and/or IT industries after graduation. No prior IT knowledge nor business knowledge is required.

Admission Policy

• Applicants must fulfill the general entrance requirements.
• BMSIM programme adopts a Best Five Subject policy with English and Mathematics inclusive. The admission score is calculated based upon the summation of the weighted score of five subjects obtained from the Best Five policy, under which the best five subjects are selected based upon their corresponding weighted scores.

Admission Assessment

• Where necessary, admission interview will be arranged for selective applicants.
• If applicants are invited for interview, they are required to attend according to the scheduled time and date. Lower priority will be given to those applicants who fail to do so.
• Interview will be conducted during the period from June to July every year. Selective applicants will be notified of the details via email.

Non-academic Consideration

For applicants with the same admission scores, consideration will be made on the basis of other available information including the band choice, interview performance, etc.

Tuition Fees and Financial Assistance

Our Programme has been selected under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). For details, please refer to Registry website.

Minimum Entry Requirements

• Completed an Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in a related discipline from a recognised institution in Hong Kong or overseas;
• A minimum cumulative GPA (cGPA) of 2.5 or equivalent.
