- Programme InformationThe Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and Information Management programme combines “Business Analytics”, “Decision Science” and “Information Technology”, and integrates with emerging fields such as FinTech, Business Intelligence and Data Mining, IT Audit and Control and Digital Business Management. It focuses on cultivating students’ ability to move from theoretical practice to establishing business analysis and forecasting models, transforming qualitative goals into quantitative results, and providing better and innovative application solutions for different industries. Graduates often pursue careers in business consulting, systems analysis, and banking sectors.
This Programme aims to recruit students who have strong analytical ability, quantitative skills, programming interests, good communication skills and those who want to pursue a career in Business and/or IT after graduation. In addition, all HKDSE applicants and full-time Associate Degree /Higher Diploma students are welcome to apply our programme. No prior IT knowledge nor business knowledge is required. - Graduation Requirements
All students must have fulfilled both the academic and the University graduation requirements stipulated by the University in order to graduate.
For Year-1 intake from AY2025/26 onwards & For Year-3 intake from AY2027/28 onwards
In order to be eligible for the award of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Analytics and Information Management, student must have:
- completed and obtained a Grade D or above in 129 credits according to the prescribed curriculum structure within the specified normative/maximum period of study; and
- obtained an overall GPA of 2.0 or above across all modules in which the students were assessed;
- attained a score of 6.0 or above in the IELTS (Academic) Test before their final year of study;
- attained the level of “Third Class, Grade B” (三級乙等) or above in the Putonghua Proficiency Test (普通話水平測試) before their final year of study;

In order to be eligible for the award of the Bachelor of Management Science and Information Management (Honours), student must have:

- obtained an overall GPA of 2.0 or above across all modules in which the students were assessed;

In order to be eligible for the award of the Bachelor of Management Science and Information Management (Honours), student must have:
- completed and been assessed on at least 129 credits (43 modules);
- obtained an overall GPA of 2.0 or above across all modules in which they were assessed;
- obtained a Grade of D or better on at least 120 credits, and passed at least 15 BMSIM major core modules, and passed all GE, CCC-CHI, CCC-ENG, CCC-QM and CCC-IT modules;
- attained a score of 6.0 or above in the IELTS (Academic) Test before their final year of study;
- attained the level of “Third Class, Grade B” (三級乙等) or above in the Putonghua Proficiency Test (普通話水平測試) before their final year of study;
