Dr Lam holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering.

Dr Lam held a number of senior management positions across a wide spectrum of industry sectors from utility, quasi-governmental organization, to banking and insurance. He was the Regional Head of Procurement of two MNC where he oversaw 10+ countries in Asia including China Mainland and Hong Kong. His current role is senior consultant in a global consulting firm responsible for providing training and consultancy services to organizations in the areas of procurement, vendor management, supply chain, ESG, and e-Procurement systems implementation.

Dr Lam is a member of CIPS. He was the ex-Vice Chairman of the IPSHK and an ex-Executive Committee member of the CIPS Hong Kong where he actively promoted the profession in both the industrial and educational sectors.
