Dr. Daniel Mo has over fifteen years’ experience in research consultancy for companies to achieve the best-in-class operations. He is an active researcher and the principal investigator of several research projects. Over the years, he published papers in international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, International Journal of Production Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Production Economics, INFORMS Journal on Applied Analytics (formerly Interfaces), etc.

He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, after worked in industry for several years. He achieved the outstanding awards of Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship twice during his postgraduate studies in MPhil and PhD. One of his research works also won the Kayamori Best Automation Paper Award Finalist during his postgraduate study.

Dr. Mo joined the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) in 2014 for contributing to the development of self-financing post-secondary education in Hong Kong through teaching, research and administrative service. He received the Teaching Excellence Awards from Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) and HSUHK. Before joining the HSUHK, Dr. Mo worked as the lead analyst and reported directly to an executive vice president in an international company, ranked in the list of Fortune Global 500 companies. His footprints of industrial contributions were found in the sectors of diversified manufacturing product, third-party logistics service, community transportation service, aftermarket service, etc. He was certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt to provide quality management training for students and managers since 2011.
