Ms Li graduates from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Arts. She further acquires a Master degree in Business Administration and a master degree in Laws specialising in Maritime Law respectively from the University of Hong Kong and the University of London. She is also a holder of Post-graduate Diploma in Mediation and Arbitration from HKU Space.

Ms Li currently serves in the function of legal and compliance management in one of the world's largest shipping and transportation groups. Prior to that, she has spent 30 years in the shipping and logistics industry in different roles ranging from sales & marketing, trade management to profit and loss management of business lines.

Currently she is teaching on part-time basis in various education institutes on different subjects of laws for under-graduate degree holders.
