Terminal visit to Hutchison Ports - Hongkong International Terminals Limited (HIT)

Three visits to Hongkong International Terminals Limited (HIT) of Hutchison Ports were organized on 21 February 2019, 28 February 2019 and 7 March 2019.

A total of 90 participants from the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management attended the visits. Representatives of HIT shared the latest developments of the Hutchison Ports from all over the world, including information about the recent alliance of the terminals in Hong Kong.

A tour visit of the container yard was also arranged after the talk. Students taking the module Shipping and Transport Logistics joined the visit and gained first-hand experience during the briefing and container yard tour.
