The Department of Supply Chain and Information Management co-organized a recruitment talk with Cathay Pacific on 26 October 2023, aiming at delivering professional airline information of their Graduate and Internship Programme and opportunities at Cathay Pacific, with widening the horizons of students in further developing their career path. The seminar attracted over 50 participants to join.

The guest speakers, Mr Douglas Ching (Talent Management Manager), Mr Nicholas Leung (Assistant Manager Talent Management), and Ms Eliss Chau (Assistant Manager Talent Acquisition) at the Cathay Pacific, provided our students with details on the Graduate Trainee and Internship Programme in Cargo Operation, Digital & IT, GBA, and Engineering service respectively.  Our students gained knowledge about various job natures, duties and features, such as enhancement on digitalization for workflow to increase customer experience in Cargo service delivery.  Moreover, the Mentor Programme benefits students in having on-job training and becoming an Engineering specialist of aircraft maintenance. Business rotation opportunities also provide students with broad exposure in different I.T. solutions in handling internal infrastructure and external connections with regulated parties. Finally, some professional skills and tips for job interviews are shared with our students to make them have a great preparation and succeed in job seeking.
