The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) hosts the annual Student Day with a mission to raise young people’s concerns about the current issues of logistics and transport in Hong Kong, and to encourage them to develop their future career in related industries. The CILTHK, collaborating with Hang Seng Management College (HSMC), held the Student Day on 4 March 2017 at HSMC. A total of nine teams from various universities including HKU, CUHK, HKUST, PolyU and community colleges in Hong Kong and Macau took part in this competition. They represented HSMC’s BBA-SCM programme. They gave an excellent presentation with impressive analyses on the topic entitled “Do you think increase the number of seats on Public Light Bus can improve the business environment of the operators and shorten the waiting time of passengers as well?” They were awarded the First Runner-up in the competition. The Champion was the HKU team and the Second Runner-up was the team from HKUST. SCM students have participated in this competition actively since 2013.
