Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Best Student Awards 2022
Three BBA (Honours) in Supply Chain Management students were awarded in the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Best Student Awards 2022. The result announcement was made on 4 Nov 2022, Ms LEUNG Cheuk Yan Elisha outperformed other 14 participants from universities and community colleges in Hong Kong and was awarded the Best Student Award; while Mr CHAN Kin Man, Ryan and Ms WU Kwo, April received Good Performer Award.
This is the nineteen year that CIPS has implemented the “Best Student Award Scheme” in Hong Kong. The awards are given to full-time post-secondary students studying sub-degree or degree courses with purchasing and supply chain management as the major core competence.
Same as the previous year, the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management nominated three SCM students to the award-selection panel. Nominees were required to submit their resumes and to write an essay about “Why Sustainable Procurement is important to the companies and what are the costs and benefits”. They were also required to attend a panel interview through which the assessment panel members discussed with them various aspects of the procurement and supply chain profession.
