The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) hosts the annual Student Day with missions to raise young people’s concern about the current issues of logistics and transport in Hong Kong, and to encourage them to develop their future career in related industries. This year, the CILTHK, collaborating with Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), held the Student Day on 16 Mar 2024 at HKMU.

Our BMSIM student, Li Chin Kiu, Issac and his team “AutoArmor” successfully advanced to finals and won the Champion for their outstanding performance.

Two BBA (Honours) in Supply Chain Management students were awarded in the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Best Student Awards 2023. The result announcement was made on 21 Nov 2023, Ms HO Pun Yi Charlotte was awarded the Certificate of Merit; while Mr HO Tsz Ming received Good Performer Award.

This year, the CILTHK, collaborating with The University of Hong Kong (HKU), held the Student Day on 11 Mar 2023 at HKU.

Three BBA (Honours) in Supply Chain Management students were awarded in the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Best Student Awards 2022. The result announcement was made on 4 Nov 2022.

The Hong Kong Logistics Case Competition 2022, organized by Hong Kong Logistics Association, was held from 3 to 5 June 2022. It aims to promote practical problem-solving skills and creative thinking capability of our post-secondary logistics students to enhance their career development.

The Hong Kong Institute of Engineers - Logistics and Transportation Division (HKIE LTD) organised The HKIE LTD Best Students Papers Awards 2021 for the outstanding students who completed logistics engineering degree programs (2020/21) in Hong Kong to promote innovative ideas and research in the design and implementation of sustainable logistics and transportation systems in the territory.

A five-member HSUHK team consisting of WOO Man Qing, WU Kwo, LI Uen Shan Chloe, CHAN Fu Wa, CHENG Yan Lok from BBA-SCM programme was coached and supervised by Dr Eugene Wong and Dr Helen Ma. With their excellent presentation and impressive analyses on the topic entitled “Assess the opportunities and challenges of autonomous driving in Hong Kong, with reference to the recent report released from a car research facility in China”, the HSUHK team was awarded the 2nd runner-up. The champion and the 1st runner-up went to the HKU team and the PolyU team respectively.

In March 2022, three Year-3 students from the Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management (BBA-SCM) programme formed a team called “Track n Go” and participated in the Institute for Supply Management Hong Kong (ISM-HK) Student Case Competition 2022. The team “Track n Go” outperformed 70 teams from different universities in Hong Kong and were awarded the certificate of merit. Only top 20 percent of 88 teams with 350 student participants entered the semi-final stage. And the team “Track n Go” was one of them.

The Industrial System Engineering Management Innovation Project Competition aims to encourage undergraduate students to design and develop intelligent and applicable solutions for industrial and systems engineering management. This competition is organized by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers - Hong Kong. Recognitions will be given to students’ Final Year Projects relating and contributing to the development of Best Practices and/or Innovation in the field of industrial and systems engineering management.
