The Department of Supply Chain and Information Management held a face-to-face orientation, in the form of a personal tutor meeting, on 2 September 2021. Over 70 participants, including new students and SCM academic staff, took part in the activity. Our academic staff give a warm welcome to all new students.

On 14 August 2021, the second mentor’s sharing talk was held successfully online. Our Scheme mentor, Mr. Felix Lam, Head of Sustainability, Green Council, was the speaker of the talk on the topic of “Rethink Supply Chain: Does Sustainability matter?”.

The SCM Mentorship Scheme aims at offering BBA-SCM and BMSIM students with opportunities to enhance their professional development and get valuable insights from industry experts. On 14 July 2021, a mentor’s sharing talk was held successfully online.

The Industrial System Engineering Management Innovation Project Competition aims to encourage undergraduate students to design and develop intelligent and applicable solutions for industrial and systems engineering management.

“GSCM Leadership Talk Series – #2 – Leading through connection” organised by the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Programme, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, co-organized by Policy Research Institute of Global Supply Chain, HSUHK and supported by Hong Kong Sea Transport And Logistics Association Ltd (HKSTLA), The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) and Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA), was held on 9 June 2021.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) hosts the annual Student Day with missions to raise young people’s concern about the current issues of logistics and transport in Hong Kong, and to encourage them to develop their future career in related industries. This year, the competition was held online in March amid the pandemic.

The Hong Kong Logistics Case Competition 2021 was held on 26 and 27 March 2021. Its aim is to promote practical problem-solving skills and creative thinking capability of our post-secondary logistics students to enhance their career development. This year, this competition also allows companies and education institutes to join.

The SCM Mentorship Scheme aims at providing BBA-SCM and BMSIM students opportunities to receive career and professional development advice and guidance from industry professionals and experts.

Our department participated in the virtual expo on December 5 and 6 2020, which was organized by Hang Seng and St. James' Settlement, This helps students to stay abreast of market trends and provided information about the career development.
